Located in Peru, Machu Picchu is the legendary lost city of the Incas and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Join us for an adventure like no other as you spend 6 days journeying from Cusco through the Sacred Valley and onto the famous Inca Trail, passing ancient ruins, cloud forests, high passes, and breathtaking mountain scenery before arriving at the Sun Gate overlooking Machu Picchu itself. Meet with our in-country team in Cusco on Day 1, before taking time to acclimatise and prepare with your fellow trekkers, ahead of a 4-day Inca Trail expedition that will see you trek through diverse landscapes, conquer Dead Woman’s Pass at 4,200m, and follow in the footsteps of the Incas to reach one of the most iconic archaeological sites in the world. Difficulty Rating – 3/5 – Moderate! This is a multi-day trek involving long days of hiking at altitude, reaching heights of over 4,000m. A good level of physical fitness is required to complete the challenge comfortably, and some personal training is recommended.
