LEGENDS IN
THE MAKING.

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro truly is a bucket list experience for myself & Cian. Having both been told in our early 20s that we will start to lose our lives to dementia in our 40s just like our Mom, our perspective on life hugely shifted.

Now we want to put more emphasis on living life, challenging ourselves and experiencing places & adventures in different parts of the world. Getting an opportunity to take our community to climb the world's tallest freestanding mountain is a surreal moment for us on our journey to building a legacy that outlasts our time on earth and we hope to share this with our amazing supporters as we tackle the climb together.

Where Will I Stay?

You will be in a 3*+ Hotel in Moshi, with a clear view of Kilimanjaro and a pool! On the trek itself, you will be camping, in spacious tents pre-set up by your amazing porters before you arrive. You will have thick mattresses so you can rest well before the next day of trekking.

Our Head of Ops, Sofia@hardestadventures.com, advises and is more than happy to assist you when arranging your:

  • Travel Insurance
  • Relevant Visas
  • Flights
Vaccinations — Tanzania Recommended: Hepatitis A, Tetanus, and Typhoid.
Also consider: Hepatitis B, Diphtheria, Rabies (Tanzania is high risk), and Yellow Fever.

If you have chosen the charity fundraising option, your fundraising deadline is 8 weeks before your challenge start date. With the support of your charity rep, Hardest Adventures, challenge leaders, and University, it's almost impossible not to reach your target.

In the unlikely event the target isn't met by the deadline, here are your options:

  1. If you're above 80% of your target and have plans in place, your charity can grant you a 2-week deadline extension.
  2. You can put your own money in and fundraise it back afterwards — as long as you don't keep more than you put in.
  3. You can defer to next year's trip for a small fee, giving you an extra year to hit your target.
Our Promise We want you to take on this adventure of a lifetime — and we'll do all we can to help you do so.
