You're in for a proper city adventure, a full marathon of grit, iconic monuments, and the beat of a city pushing you on all the way to the finish line by Arc De Triomphe. This is the Paris Marathon, beautiful sights, raw atmosphere, and 26.2 miles of memories to last a lifetime.
Race Details
- Elevation ~150m total gain. Mostly flat, but features notable climbs through Bois de Vincennes and Bois de Boulogne.
- Temperature 8–13°C in April. Often cool and overcast, creating ideal racing conditions.
- Aid Stations Water and isotonic drinks every 5km. Gels, fruit, and traditional sugar cubes at 15km, 25km, and 30km.
- Landmarks Arc de Triomphe start, Champs-Elysees, Bastille, the Seine, Notre-Dame, Chateau de Vincennes, and Bois de Boulogne.
- Crowds 55,000+ runners and 500,000+ spectators. One of the largest and best-supported races globally.
- Atmosphere Truly iconic. DJs, samba bands, and dressed-up spectators line the route. The start is a guaranteed 'pinch me' moment.

Can I Defer?
Absolutely! Deferral fees depend on how close you are to your departure date:
- More than 6 months before: Free deferral to another date
- 6–2 months before: £80
- 2 months – 6 weeks before: £120 (if your place hasn't already been fully paid for by this point)
- Under 6 weeks: Deferral not possible

Medical & Family Emergencies Those deferring due to a medical or family emergency may be eligible for a free or discounted deferral, subject to the circumstances and how close it is to the trip start date.
What's the Cancellation Policy?
- Within 14 days of booking: Free cancellation & full refund.
- After 14 days: Free cancellation (no refund).

10–30 fellow adventurers.
Where Will I Stay?
You will be staying in twin rooms in a 3-4* hotel in the city, with breakfast included and close proximity to the race route and landmarks.
Our Head of Ops, Sofia@hardestadventures.com, advises and is more than happy to assist you when arranging your:

If you have chosen the charity fundraising option, your fundraising deadline is 8 weeks before your challenge start date. With the support of your charity rep, Hardest Adventures, challenge leaders, and University, it's almost impossible not to reach your target.
In the unlikely event the target isn't met by the deadline, here are your options:
- If you're above 80% of your target and have plans in place, your charity can grant you a 2-week deadline extension.
- You can put your own money in and fundraise it back afterwards, as long as you don't keep more than you put in.
- You can defer to next year's trip for a small fee, giving you an extra year to hit your target.
